ASI highlights need for adoption of intelligent business solutions in tech event
The accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is causing a transformational shift in every industry and consumer space, changing the way we work, learn, and share ideas. We are witnessing a seamless integration of concepts that were once confined to science fiction into our everyday reality. Despite the many advantages of adopting AI, a significant number of enterprises report that their data capabilities cannot keep up with their business demands.
Advance Solutions Inc (ASI) organized a tech update seminar on the adoption of AI for business solutions on June 20, 2025 at Lanson Place Mall of Asia in Manila. The seminar, entitled “Intelligent Business Solutions for the Modern Workplace” was held in cooperation with Intel Philippines, Microsoft, Lenovo, and VST ECS Phils. For almost 30 years, ASI has been a trusted distribution partner of various leading global IT brands in the industry. And part of ASI’s commitment is to update its clients on the emerging trends in technology.
During the morning program, Wendy Gurra, Enterprise Technical Specialist at Intel Philippines started off the discussions by declaring that AI as the future of innovation is here and the current landscape is evolving rapidly. In fact, various sectors have been adopting use of AI namely, education; health; finance; retail; government; energy; automotive. She described Intel’s AI strategy as open, innovative, efficient, and secure.
Wendy mentioned Intel’s tech updates for 2025 such as Intel Core Ultra (Lunar Lake for laptop and Arrow Lake for desktop) processors comprising Intel’s AI PC portfolio for 2025; Intel vPro as the no-compromise solution for business. She said that Intel delivers what modern businesses need: performance; manageability; connectivity; AI; stability; security. There is also the new Intel Xeon 6 which is the latest processor for servers bringing AI everywhere; for evolving data centers; and ecosystem ready.
The Microsoft brand came next with the feature on Windows 11 Pro, as discussed by Joshua Ruinata who is a Product Solutions Engineer at VST-ECS. Joshua said that Windows 11 Pro is securing the future with its AI-enhanced protection. The security is for business anywhere like the enhanced phishing protection. Joshua also reported on the 62% drop in security incidents using Windows 11. Windows 11 is easy to manage, future ready, and delivers redefined productivity with its enhanced search capabilities.
There is rising importance of AI in the workplace and Microsoft is fostering responsible AI principles of fairness; reliability and safety; privacy and security; and inclusiveness. However, support ends for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025 and this early, end-users and corporate clients are encouraged to upgrade. But why upgrade now? Well, the following reasons can be a wiser move: vulnerability for out-of-date device; to stay competitive; control in costs/expenses; to simplify deployment.
The Lenovo IDG presentation followed with Ferdie Fetros, 4P Manager at Lenovo Philippines. His discussion centered on IDG – intelligent/smart devices and solutions. First, he listed down Lenovo’s 2025 portfolio strategic focus area: AI (Lead AI PC Transformation); Modernize Designs (New Disruptive Designs); Employee Experience (Seamless Solutions); and Lead in ESG (Lowered Carbon Footprint). He went on to showcase an array of innovative PC concept that Lenovo unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2025 held in March.
They are the following: Magic Bay Dual Display Concept; ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1; ThinkBook 3D Laptop concept; ThinkBook “codename Flip” AI PC Concept; Lenovo Yoga Solar PC Concept; Lenovo AI Stick – Plug-in Local AI Capability (32 TOPS). Ferdie introduced the 2025 Commercial Notebook Portfolio with the new ThinkBook series and ThinkPad series. Lenovo’s 2025 Commercial Portfolio is not only an exciting bunch of new products but also comes with innovative features; being equipped with top-notch processors; and pledge to sustainability.
Lenovo Aura Edition and Lenovo AI Now
Ferdie introduced two more innovations namely, Lenovo Aura Edition and Lenovo AI Now. The Aura Edition is a new era of AI PCs that bring incredible AI performance with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processors. Cool, quiet, thin, and powerful, they boast best-in-class battery life and astonishing graphics. Another one is Lenovo AI Now, the personalized intelligent assistant powered by local Large Language Model (LLM) and personal knowledge base, can bring advanced AI experience, with high-level security.
For the afternoon session, the lone presentation covering Lenovo ISG was delivered by Jeric Lunar, Product Support Supervisor at VST-ECS. His discussion began with declaring Lenovo’s leadership in the ISG Server category. He showed that Lenovo took the lead in Server reliability for 11 consecutive years. Lenovo also topped the security feature for 6 consecutive years and it holds the current world record in terms of performance workloads. Then he focused on the Lenovo ThinkSystem server portfolio with comprehensive compute capabilities from the edge to the enterprise.

The Rack and Tower servers offer almost identical features of flexibility, reliability, and security. The Mission Critical servers boast of performance with the latest Intel Xeon CPUs; agility being next-gen workload ready — AI/ML, 3D modeling, and GPU intensive; scalable being highly scalable, reliable, and secure servers that can be configured with two, four, or eight processors. The High Density servers are innovative, powerful, and sustainable. The Edge servers are purpose built, AI ready, and agile & secure.
AI is making business more productive across many vertical markets – Manufacturing; Retail; Finance; Healthcare; Smart Cities. Likewise, it is making life easier, safer, and more enjoyable for users with Generative AI and LLMs changing how we live and work. On his final note, Jeric introduced the Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) for data centers utilizing the Lenovo ThinkAgile HCI Portfolio comprising of MX, HX, and VX series engineered and validated designs for confident deployment.
The roughly whole day event was capped with a Q&A portion, where participants had the chance to interact with the speakers. The audience cheerfully participated in the icebreaker segment and had fun winning prizes in the raffle draws. But most importantly, the event has informed and enlightened the participants on the importance of adopting intelligent business solutions for their respective organizations.
