Lenovo ThinkBook 3D Laptop taking spatial computing to the next level

Lenovo’s continued investment in innovation and commitment to research and development is changing the way we live and work today and for years to come. Those innovations need to progress in harmony with our planet and its people. Lenovo continues to raise the bar on innovation, with never-before-seen proofs of concept and inventive new form factors that chart toward a smarter, more sustainable future.

At the Mobile World Congress in March 2025, Lenovo brought not one but eight concept announcements: the ThinkBook “codename Flip” AI PC, the Magic Bay ecosystem’s AI-powered concepts, the ThinkBook 3D Laptop, the Lenovo AI Ring, Yoga Solar PC, Solar Power Kit for Yoga, Lenovo AI Stick and finally their Hybrid Dimensional 34-inch Curved Monitor.

The Mobile World Congress is one of many conventions that encourage companies to give sneak peeks of what the future can hold. Each year, the event is a chance to see what’s next for mobile phones, laptops, and consumer tech, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI) this time around.

The ThinkBook 3D Laptop Concept boasts 3D computing with a glasses-free hybrid display, allowing users to switch between 2D and 3D modes thanks to the Directional Backlight 3D solution. It features a 3.2K resolution display, which they suggest for designers, engineers and media professionals.

BTr data released after the rate-setting auction showed tenders hitting P354.175 billion, almost 12 times the P30 billion offered at the first RTB auction this year. The five-year RTBs fetch a 6% fixed coupon, down slightly from 6.125% in February 2024. Awarded rates ranged from 5.625% to 6%, averaging 5.943%. Interest will be paid quarterly, the BTr said.

National Treasurer Sharon P. Almanza said: “We are thrilled to bring RTB 31 to the GCash app. This collaboration significantly expands our reach, enabling more Filipinos to invest in government securities easily and securely. It’s a monumental step toward our goal of a more financially inclusive Philippines, giving more people the opportunity to build their savings and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.”

“We want to really tap retail investors,” she said. “If we are able to raise P90 billion more in fresh money, it will be a very successful RTB issuance.” Ms. Almanza added: “If increasing the P210 billion to P300 billion and the rest will be retail, that will be a game changer for the Bureau of the Treasury and also for the Department of Finance and for this government, because that means that we really are able to target retail investors.

This groundbreaking laptop is controllable with hand gestures via the AI Ring, which uses AI power to facilitate precise and natural 3D interactions. It transforms your experience – with everything from 3D 1-on-1 meetings to design and education to entertainment and gaming.

The Lenovo AI Ring proof of concept pairs well with this, as it features gesture-based control for interactive UI adjustments, touch-free navigation and 3D model manipulation. Equipped with high-precision sensors and advanced AI-driven motion tracking, the AI Ring enables users to effortlessly rotate objects, zoom in and out, and interact with 3D environments using simple hand gestures, taking spatial computing to the next level.

Lenovo brought some other interesting accessory options to this year’s showcase, too. The company unveiled an AI Display with NPU Inside, representing another breakthrough by incorporating a discrete neural processing unit that not only enhances the monitor’s capabilities but also empowers non-AI PCs with artificial intelligence computing power, enabling them to run large language models and respond to user commands through intelligent analysis.
