HP expands workstation portfolio for AI-heavy professional workloads
HP being a global technology leader and creator of solutions that enable people to bring their ideas to life is continuing to unlock a new era of AI experiences powering work and creation. The way we live and work is no longer confined to a desk; we are creating at home, from the office, and everywhere in between. AI is rapidly changing consumer and professional expectations for productivity and creativity.
The accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is causing a transformational shift in every industry and consumer space, changing the way we work, learn, and share ideas. We are witnessing a seamless integration of concepts that were once confined to science fiction into our everyday reality.
HP has expanded its workstation portfolio in the Philippines with two compact systems positioned for AI-heavy professional workloads: the ZBook Ultra G1a mobile workstation and the Z2 Mini G1a desktop.
Give ChatGPT a job instead of a role in your heart
If you want ChatGPT to be helpful, give it a job instead of a role in your heart. Use it to draft a tough message, practice a difficult conversation, or organize your thoughts before you speak to someone who matters. You’ll still get the relief of clarity, but you won’t confuse it with closeness.
You should also set boundaries the way you would with any powerful technology. Decide when you’ll use it, what you won’t share, and when you’ll stop and go talk to an actual person. Keep it in the lane where it excels, and it’ll feel less like a “someone” and more like a very capable assistant that doesn’t need to be loved back.
Well, in case you have a need to feel loved on Valentine’s Day from ChatGPT, this is a friendly reminder of the nature of your “lover.” ChatGPT, or Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer, can expertly generate realistic, human-like text about almost anything. English essays, news articles, computer code, and songs are all examples of what this bot can produce, and all from a simple prompt.
The bot uses a dialogue format in which users can provide both simple and complex instructions, to which ChatGPT will provide a detailed response. It can also answer follow-up questions even admit when it made a mistake. All these tasks actually make the bot perfect for customer service.

The new models target creators, engineers and enterprises running compute-intensive tasks such as 3D design, real-time rendering and local large language models, reflecting a broader shift toward on-device AI processing rather than cloud-only workflows.
Both systems are built around AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO processors, combining up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, integrated RDNA 3.5 graphics and an XDNA 2 neural processing unit capable of up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. HP pairs this with a unified memory architecture of up to 128GB, with as much as 96GB assignable to the GPU, a configuration aimed at reducing bottlenecks in graphics- and data-heavy applications.
The ZBook Ultra G1a is positioned as HP’s most powerful 14-inch mobile workstation. Despite its compact form factor, it is designed to handle workflows traditionally reserved for desktops, including complex simulations and AI-assisted content creation. HP emphasizes mobility, pairing the hardware with a thin-and-light chassis, extended battery life and integrated AI features for privacy and performance tuning.
The Z2 Mini G1a, meanwhile, brings similar compute capabilities to a small desktop footprint. The system is designed for flexible deployment, fitting on a desk, behind a monitor or in rack-mounted environments. Its compact size is aimed at studios and enterprises that need high-density workstation deployments without sacrificing processing power.
Sustainability is also part of the design brief. HP says the ZBook Ultra G1a carries EPEAT Gold with Climate+ certification, while the Z2 Mini G1a incorporates recycled plastics and steel, along with sustainably sourced packaging.
Locally, HP is framing the launch around the needs of the Philippine creative and professional workforce, where increasingly complex digital workflows are colliding with gaps in access to high-performance computing. By pushing more AI capability to the edge, the company is betting that professionals can reduce reliance on cloud resources while maintaining performance and responsiveness.
