
ASI, Intel conduct tech update seminar for education sector

ASI in cooperation with Intel Philippines has recently conducted a tech update seminar entitled “The Future of Education” on December 12, 2023. The seminar, geared towards the education sector, was held at the Manila Prince Hotel in Ermita Manila and attended by IT personnel of educational institutions.
Wendy Gurra, an Industry Technical Specialist at Intel Philippines, presented Intel’s vision for AI in Education. The vision includes AI-infused curriculum; Digital skills; and Professional development. She said that the Intel® Skills for Innovation is reinventing technology’s role in education to empower students to become the next generation of innovators.
The Intel® Skills for Innovation Initiative (Intel® SFI) empowers decision makers and educators in adopting technology to create innovative learning experiences which actively engage students in all learning environments—virtual, at school, or blended. By inspiring teachers and learners to reach their full potential through a technology-supported, skills-based approach, the Intel SFI Initiative guides them to build their skills to maximize learning outcomes and prepare students for a changing, technology-dominated world.

Meantime, the Intel’s SFI Professional Development Suite (Intel® SFI PD) empowers educators as they assume their role as leaders of learning experiences and facilitators of future-ready skill building. The Professional Development Suite consists of 80 hours of e-learning and in-person workshops which train educators to: Have the skills required to adapt technology in their virtual and physical teaching environments; Know how to create technology-infused learning experiences that build future-ready skills; and Be up to date with trends impacting their students’ future and equip them with tools to maximize their students’ learning outcomes in anywhere learning scenarios.
