Lenovo Idea Tab pro gen 2 packs the power for working travel and play
Released only this year, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is the latest mid-range enterprise tablet from Lenovo. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 arrival is “perfect” at a time when budgets are getting tighter and value for money is the main drive to buying devices. More than just a tablet, it’s for play too although mostly for work as portable desktop replacement.
Built for the light traveler
At 13 inches and 1.31 lbs, the Idea Tab Pro is great for both travel and desktop use. It also makes for a good laptop replacement, especially those who like traveling light to foreign destinations. Its full-sized magnetic keyboard attachment doesn’t feel cramped while typing. It’s a natural fit for the hands.
Flashy huge screen
For its 13-inch screen having a refresh rate of 144Hz, this tablet comes with a flashy paper matte technology that removes screen glare. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Mobile Platform running Android 16. Lenovo doesn’t pretend to over qualify this device: it’s a solid mid-ranger made for daily work and entertainment on a huge screen.

On moderate work, one can get on-and-off two days out of the 10,200 mAh battery with 45W charging. To conserve battery life, keep this on Intelligent mode and let the on-device AI adjust refresh rates depending on what you’re doing. The tablet comes in two colorways – Luna Gray and Cloud Gray.
Desk mode delivers full desktop experience
The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 features the so-called Desk Mode — for when you want a full desktop experience by connecting the tablet to an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard. This is quite useful in open workspaces where hot desking is more common. This feature enables Android to reskin itself with a bottom taskbar and resizable multitasking windows. The stylus completes the whole package.
The Tab Pen Plus connects automatically via Bluetooth, displays battery charge, and has contextual shortcuts depending on how you press the button near the nib. Pen gestures can be programmed to take screenshots, open quick notes, and more. It also functions as a remote control, which comes in handy during slideshow presentations.
Cameras and AI doc scanner
Frequent video calls? The front camera (1080p at 30fps) is designed primarily for such. The rear 8MP camera goes up to 4K video at 30fps. But the standout feature here is the built-in AI document scanner that analyzes angles and reflections, producing a clean, legible copy. Useful for documenting service invoices come liquidation time.
For your listening pleasure, the Idea Tab Pro is built with four JBL speakers — two on each side in landscape orientation — that bring fuller sounds. Its bass volume sounds like the room is equipped with a soundbar. The 128GB model is priced at P36,995 while the 256GB model will cost P39,995. This device comes with a microSD slot, capable of expanding memory up to 2TB of storage.
